behind the brand

It started in 2023, when I brought home my first ever dog, Conan.

I’m someone who thinks carefully about what I bring into my life: the clothes I wear, the objects I keep, the materials I choose. They matter to me because I want to live with intention, with less waste, and without compromising on style.

When Conan came home, I suddenly found myself navigating an entirely new world of products: leashes, collars, beds, accessories... things I had never thought about before. I approached it with the same standard I hold for myself.

What I found was disappointing. The pet market is flooded with cheap materials and frivolous designs. The ones that looked more considered often leaned into an overly cute, cheerful aesthetic that felt almost performative. And nothing acknowledged what I already knew: the pet industry generates over 300 million pounds of plastic waste every year in North America alone. I couldn't find a single brand that seemed to care about that the way I did.

coni is my response to all of this.

Named after Conan, coni brings the level of design and material integrity we expect from human lifestyle brands into the world of dog accessories. Every product is built to feel good to use, look good on the street, and last. We work with responsible materials where we can, and we are transparent about where we are still working toward better.

Dogs are family, and the things we choose for them should meet the same standards we expect for ourselves. coni exists to make that possible.
